Claru is a platform where people contribute data to help build and train AI models. Depending on the project, you'll record videos, collect other types of data, or complete AI-related tasks and receive payment for approved work.

Where do I complete project work?
This depends on the project.
Some projects are completed directly on the Claru website, while others use the Claru mobile app (available on iOS and Android) or another approved recording application.
Your project's page will always explain exactly where and how to complete the work.
Is this paid work?
Yes. You are paid for recordings that are approved after review, not simply for time spent recording or hours uploaded.
Payments run on a weekly cycle. See How and when you get paid.
Do I need experience or equipment?
Most projects only require a compatible smartphone.
Some projects may also require additional equipment, such as a head mount or other accessories.
Requirements vary by project — see Checking whether you are eligible for a project.
What kinds of projects are available?
Claru offers a variety of AI data collection projects.
Depending on the project, you may be asked to record videos, capture images, collect audio, annotate data, or complete other AI-related tasks. Each project includes detailed instructions explaining exactly what is required.
What kind of video does Claru collect?
It depends on the project. Projects generally ask for natural, real-life activity recorded as it actually happens, rather than staged or acted footage. Your project's Getting Started guide lists the accepted activities and recording style in detail.
