Not applicable for the LATAM Residential Project. Additionally, some projects may be temporarily paused or unavailable. Stay informed through official announcements to know about project availability.
A rejection means your work was returned to you to correct. Rejected work is unpaid, but on many projects you can fix the problem and resubmit it for a fresh review — if it is then approved, it is paid as normal.
What does a rejection mean?
Your submission did not meet the project guidelines, so it was returned with the status Rejected. It does not count towards your approved hours and is not paid unless it is corrected and later approved. Every submission only ever shows one of three statuses — In review, Approved or Rejected. For example, a submission may be rejected if hands are not visible for at least 90% of the video. Always check the specific project guidelines for detailed requirements.
Where can I see the reason?
In two places:
The Rejected section of your My Work page lists every rejected item with the project name, the date and the rejection reason
Pressing View on a rejected item opens it for editing, where the details card shows the full rejection reason and any reviewer comment
The per-project submissions page shows how many of your submissions are In review, Approved or Rejected, but not the reasons — use the My Work page for those. Additionally, note that videos cannot be played back from within the account, so ensure you review your submissions thoroughly before submitting.
How do I edit and resubmit?
Open the Rejected section on your My Work page and press View on the item
Read the rejection reason and any reviewer comment carefully
Fix exactly what was flagged — replace the recording or photos, or correct your answers
Press the submit button — labelled Submit Video on video projects — to send it back for review
Once resubmitted, the status returns to In review and your work goes through the normal review process again. Do not resubmit unchanged work — fix the issue described in the rejection reason first.
Is there a limit on resubmissions?
It depends on the project. Some projects allow a limited number of resubmissions, some set no limit, and some do not allow resubmission at all. Once a project’s limit is reached, the rejection is final and the work can no longer be corrected, so fix it carefully the first time.
Which work cannot be resubmitted from the web?
Recordings for projects captured on the Claru mobile app cannot be edited or resubmitted from the web. Sessions recorded through a partner recording app on external video-collection projects also cannot be edited or resubmitted — the fix-and-resubmit flow does not apply to them. If a rejection on one of these projects affects you, contact support.
