Payments & Rewards

How and when you get paid, plus bonuses and the referral programme.

How do video uploads and reviews affect payments?

Payments are based only on approved videos.

Weekly payments are processed every Tuesday using all videos that have been approved before that week's payment cutoff.

If your videos are approved after the cutoff, they will automatically be included in the following payment cycle.

When do I get paid?

Payments are processed every Tuesday. Payouts are processed automatically, and there is no manual withdrawal option.

You must have at least $50 USD in approved earnings before a Tuesday payment to receive a payout.

If your balance is below $50, it will automatically carry over to the next payment cycle until you reach the minimum payout. Approved work may not immediately reflect in your balance, but it will update before the payment is processed.

How do I get paid?

You are paid only for approved videos. Uploaded videos that have not yet been approved do not count toward payment.

How long do payments take to arrive?

Payments typically arrive within 1–4 business days after processing.

First-time payments may take slightly longer. If a payout is marked as completed but funds are not received, the timing depends on your bank. Contact your bank to confirm when the funds will be available. If your bank requests details about the payment processor, Claru’s payouts are handled by Trolley. Reach out to Trolley support for assistance in tracing the transfer and identifying any associated fees. If the received amount is lower than expected, the difference is likely due to fees charged by your receiving bank or an intermediary bank. Contact your bank to identify any fees applied. If a payment is marked as "Pending" in Claru, it means the transaction is still being processed by the banking system. This status indicates that the funds have not yet been completed or deposited into the recipient's account. Banks typically do not process payments over weekends or on public holidays, which can extend the time it takes for funds to arrive. If your payment has not arrived after more than a week, check the status on your Payments page. If the status remains "Pending" beyond the expected timeframe, contact support for assistance.

Which payment methods are supported?

You may use a bank account in your own name that accepts international transfers.

PayPal and Payoneer are not currently supported.

If you reside in a country not supported by Claru’s payment processor, you can use a U.S. bank account to receive payments. Ensure the account is in your name and matches the name registered on your Claru account.

My Payment Was Returned or Failed

A returned or failed payment usually means there was an issue with your banking information or your bank was unable to accept the payment.

Common Causes of Payment Issues

  • Incorrect or incomplete bank details: Errors in account numbers, IBANs, or other banking information can cause payments to fail.

  • Mismatched personal information: Discrepancies in the account holder's name, CPF (or equivalent tax ID), or date of birth can lead to payment rejections.

  • Bank incompatibility: Some banks, especially digital wallets or intermediary platforms (e.g., Mercado Pago, Wise), may not accept certain types of payments.

Before writing to support, please:

  1. Check your banking details in Claru for errors.

  2. Make sure the bank account is in your name.

  3. Contact your bank to confirm that your account can receive international payments.

  4. Update or correct your banking information if needed.

  5. Once your banking information has been updated and confirmed, write to us through the chat.

  6. Ensure that your personal details, such as your full name, CPF (or equivalent tax ID), and date of birth, match exactly with the information registered in Claru.

After your information has been confirmed, our team can request that the payment be reprocessed.

Please allow approximately 5–7 days for a returned payment to be reprocessed.

Please note: A $10 reprocessing fee may apply and may be deducted from the payment amount.

If all of your banking details are correct but the payment continues to fail, we recommend switching to a bank that other contributors have successfully used to receive Claru payments.

After updating or changing your bank information, please confirm this in your support conversation so our team can move forward with the reprocessing request.

Please do not open multiple conversations or repeatedly contact the team about the same returned payment. This will not speed up the process. We will contact you once there is an update.

Brazil — Banking Information

If your payment has been returned, first confirm that you have updated and verified your banking details.

If you are using Mercado Pago, 99Pay, Wise, or another digital wallet service and are experiencing payment issues, we recommend considering a traditional bank.

Based on contributor feedback, users have reported successfully receiving payments through:

  • Bradesco (IBAN)

  • Santander

  • Inter

  • Itaú

  • Caixa

  • Banco do Brasil

Before submitting your banking information, confirm that:

  • Your bank can receive international payments.

  • Your CPF is correct.

  • Your date of birth is correct.

  • Your full name exactly matches the name registered with your bank.

  • The bank account holder is the same person registered with Claru.

  • You have selected the correct account type, such as conta corrente or conta poupança.

Important: These bank examples are based solely on contributor feedback and are not an official or guaranteed list of supported or unsupported banks from Claru or our payment processor.

We recommend confirming directly with your bank before adding or updating your payment information.

Bolivia — Banking Information

Based on contributor feedback, Banco Ganadero and Banco BNB have successfully received Claru payments.

If your current bank continues to reject your payment, you may want to consider one of these banks.

Venezuela — Banking Information

Important: As of September 9, 2026, the Minute App project is no longer available in Venezuela, so no new recordings can be submitted. Payments you already earned are still processed as usual, and the steps below explain how to receive them.

Trolley currently does not support international payments to Venezuelan banks. If you have a U.S. bank account, you may use it as long as:

  • The account is in your name.

  • The account holder name exactly matches the name registered on your Claru account.

  • The account can receive the applicable payment.

Airtm is not an available payment method on Claru. Do not add an Airtm account to receive your payments.

If the payment screen shows no method for your country, use a U.S. bank account in your name, as described above. Claru cannot pay you through Airtm.

If you still need help after reading this, write to us through the chat and our team will review it.

Referrals

The Refer a collector program at the top of the Rewards page is specifically for the Residential Americas V2 project. The information below applies only to this referral program.

How does the Referrals program work?

Invite a new contributor using your personal referral link or code.

For each eligible referral:

  • Earn a $5 one-time bonus once they reach 10 approved hours of main camera footage.

  • Earn $0.25 USD for every approved hour they complete during their first year.

  • Only approved main camera footage counts toward the program.

Your referral must reach 10 approved hours within 365 days of signing up to qualify.

How do I join and get my referral code?

  1. Go to the Rewards section in Claru.

  2. Find Refer a collector at the top of the page.

  3. Review the Program Terms.

  4. Check the box confirming that you agree to the terms.

  5. Click Join and get my code.

  6. Share your personal referral link or code.

Important: Make sure you're using the referral link/code from the Refer a collector section at the top of the Rewards page. Other referral programs shown in Claru may have different terms.

When do I start earning from my referral?

Your referral must first reach 10 approved hours within 365 days of signing up.

Nothing is paid until they reach 10 approved hours.

Once they reach the requirement, the eligible rewards accumulated so far can be paid, including:

  • The $5 one-time bonus

  • $0.25 for each eligible approved hour

If they don't reach 10 approved hours within 365 days, nothing is paid, including the bonus and hourly rewards accumulated before reaching 10 hours.

Where can I track my referrals?

You can track your referrals directly from the Rewards page in Claru.

Your referral tracker shows the progress of the contributors you've referred, including the number of approved hours they have completed.

Use the referral tracker to:

  • See the progress of each of your referrals.

  • Track how close a referral is to reaching the 10 approved hours required to qualify.

  • Monitor their approved hours as they continue participating.

  • Estimate your referral earnings based on their eligible approved hours.

The referral tracker on your Claru Rewards page is the main source of truth for your referrals and their progress.

Remember that only approved hours shown in the referral tracker count toward referral rewards.

How long can I earn from a referral?

You can earn $0.25 per approved hour for eligible footage completed during your referral's first 365 days.

Work completed more than 365 days after their sign-up does not count toward this referral program.

Do I need to stay active to earn referral rewards?

Yes.

To continue earning:

  • Your Claru account must not be disabled.

  • You must have had main camera footage approved within the last 10 days.

Hours from your referral that are approved while you are not active will not earn a referral reward.

If you're not active when your referral reaches the 10-hour requirement, the $5 bonus is lost.

What counts as an approved hour?

For this program, hours mean approved main camera footage.

Uploaded footage that is still Pending or In Review does not count until it has been approved. Rejected footage does not count.

Is there a maximum I can earn from one referral?

Yes. One referral can earn you a maximum of $2,000 in total, including the $5 bonus.

Why haven't I received my referral reward?

Before contacting support, check that:

  • Your referral has reached 10 approved hours.

  • The hours are approved, not simply uploaded or Pending.

  • They reached 10 approved hours within 365 days of signing up.

  • They signed up using your referral link/code.

  • Your Claru account is not disabled.

  • You have had main camera footage approved within the last 10 days.

If all of these requirements have been met and you still believe your referral reward is missing, you can write to us through the chat.

Are all Claru referral programs the same?

No.

Other Claru projects may have completely different referral programs. For example, another program may have a different approved-hours requirement, bonus amount, eligibility requirement, or payment structure.

Always follow the terms displayed for the specific referral program you joined.

Bonuses & Milestones

What happened to milestone bonuses?

The milestone bonus program ended on September 9, 2026 and was replaced by boosted tasks. Milestone bonuses are no longer awarded, including for hours recorded before that date.

When are bonuses paid?

Bonuses follow the standard weekly payment cycle. See How and when you get paid.

Please see the Payments section for additional payment information.
