Task Limits & Per-User Quotas

To help maintain a healthy mix of recordings across different activities, some tasks in the Minute App now have per-user recording quotas. These limits may change depending on how much footage is needed for each task.

Is there still a 25-hour limit per task?

No. The previous 25-hour-per-task limit is no longer in effect.

You do not need to stop recording a task once you reach 25 hours, and there is no longer a rule where hours submitted beyond 25 hours are automatically unpaid.

Instead, task limits are now managed automatically through your Minute App task library.

If a task is still available in your Minute App library, you can continue recording and submitting that task. Eligible recordings you submit while the task is available can be reviewed and paid according to the normal project requirements.

You do not need to manually track whether you have recorded 10, 20, 25, or more hours of a particular task. Simply use the tasks currently available in your library.

How do task limits work?

Certain tasks may have an individual maximum amount that each contributor can submit.

  • Limits, or quotas, are set per contributor and per task.

  • Your quota can vary from one task to another.

  • Quotas may change depending on current collection needs and how much footage has already been collected.

  • Some high-volume tasks may have quotas lower than 25 hours, while other tasks may remain available beyond 25 hours.

  • Your specific quota will not be displayed in the Minute App.

  • You do not need to manually track your remaining hours.

  • Once you reach your individual quota for a task, that task will automatically disappear from your Minute App library.

The important rule is simple: if the task is available in your Minute App library, you can continue recording it.

Which tasks currently have lower limits?

The following high-volume tasks currently have lower per-user quotas:

  • Kitchen Clean & Tidy

  • Cooking

  • Hand Washing Dishes

  • Tidying Rooms

  • Fold, Hang, or Line-Dry Clothes

The exact quota may be different for each task and can change based on current collection needs.

Because these limits are managed automatically, you do not need to stop recording these tasks manually. Continue recording them for as long as they remain available in your Minute App library.

How do I know if I can still record a task?

Check your task library in the Minute App.

Task available = you can continue recording it.

Once you reach your individual quota, the task will automatically be removed from your library.

You will not see a specific number showing how many hours you have remaining before reaching the quota.

Can I record more than 25 hours of the same task?

Yes, if the task is still available in your Minute App library.

The old 25-hour limit no longer applies. If you reach 25 hours and the task remains available, you can continue recording and submitting it.

You do not need to stop at 25 hours because of the previous policy.

As always, recordings must still meet all project requirements and be approved to qualify for payment.

Why did a task disappear from my library?

If a task you previously had access to is no longer visible, you may have reached your individual quota for that task.

Task availability can also change based on current collection needs. Tasks may be added, removed, or adjusted depending on the types and amount of footage needed.

Because of this, not every contributor will necessarily have the same tasks available at the same time.

What happens when I reach the limit for one task?

Reaching your quota for one task does not mean you've reached a limit for the entire project.

Once a task disappears, simply choose another task that remains available in your Minute App library and continue recording.

New tasks are introduced regularly, so we recommend checking your task library frequently and recording a variety of available activities.

As long as a task is available in your Minute App library, you can continue recording it.
